Pedro Alvarez crushes another home run into Allegheny River

If Pedro Alvarez's time in Pittsburgh is short, at least he's going out in style.The Pirates first baseman on Friday launched a massive home run off Nationals ace Max Scherzer that bounced into the Allegheny River. Few balls find the water in Pittsburgh, and it's rare for one to splash down after exiting PNC Park's right-center field stands. The home runs are coming at just the right time (two in as many games); reports say the Bucs are looking to unload their onetime cornerstone. That type of power is attractive to teams, even if the rest of Alvarez's game has gotten plenty ugly.
