Clippers guard Austin Rivers likely is out indefinitely with a broken left hand, the team announced Sunday.

Rivers, who sustained the injury Wednesday against the Timberwolves, was originally thought to have a bone bruise in the hand. He sat out Friday's victory against the Magic and underwent an MRI Saturday in Miami that revealed the broken bone.

Rivers has appeared in 46 games (five starts) and is averaging a career-high 8.1 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 21.6 minutes per game.

His loss puts more pressure on Jamal

Crawford and Pablo Prigioni, although the Clippers (33-17) are solidly in second place in the Pacific and chasing Oklahoma City for third place in the Western Conference. L.A. plays at Miami on Sunday.
