ESPN's Stuart Scott lost his battle with cancer back in January. One of his favorite events was the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, which

he hosted on several occasions.

Before Friday night's edition, anchor Sage Steele hosted a moving tribute to Scott that included bringing out his two daughters, Taelor and Syndi.

In the presentation, Taelor Scott reminisced on the time her father gave her a special birthday gift.

"My father missed my fifth birthday because of the All-Star Game," said Scott. "Since he didn't want to miss my 10th birthday, he took me with him. It was a really exciting birthday for me."

The celebrity players presented the Scott sisters with a ceremonial game ball signed with personal notes and signatures to thank them for coming to the event.

A decidedly nice gesture by the ESPN crew to honor Scott's memory during an event he was a big part of for many years.
