Kerr could work his final telecast this week as conversations with the Knicks continue to make progress, the Post reports, citing a league source.

Kerr was said to favor a coaching position on the West Coach, but has received the go ahead from his wife to take the position, Kerr's former Arizona coach Lute Olson said, according to the paper.

A previous report noted that Kerr was waiting for the Golden State Warriors position to open up. No decision has been made on Mark Jackson's future. Players have said they want Jackson to return as coach, however.

The Knicks fired coach Mike Woodson at the end of the regular season. The Knicks missed the postseason after putting together a 50-win season in 2012-13.
